When Kim Zeugner’s fifth grade math students walk into her classroom on the first day of school, they’re going to notice something posted in the corner of the whiteboard: photographs of a broken-down school bus, covered in rust and forest growth, with the invitation to “Take a ride on the struggle bus... and GROW your brain!”
When I think of phenomenal educators, Griselda Rutherford, a teacher in Washington D.C., comes to mind. I met Griselda while facilitating a Growth Mindset Live Training workshop in her school district. Griselda took to the growth mindset, as she believes that all students are capable of remarkable growth, and began the work at her school.
C. J. Luckey is a Hip-Hop Artist, Motivation Speaker, and Youth Leader. We had a chance to sit down with C.J. and discuss the motivation behind his new E.P. about Growth Mindset entitled C.A.P.S. The album will be released on November 1st, and can be preordered now on iTunes for $5.94. It will be available on all music outlets, such as Spotify, Amazon, Apple Music, and more, on November 1st.
